Which is located on the southwest corner of Champlain Street and Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard in the Orleans community, Ontario.
My Responsibility: Contract Administrator (CA)
• Act as the Client primary representative on the job site;
• Preparation of payment certificates, change orders, site instructions, and other contract-related duties.
• Oversee QA/QC of construction work based on contract drawings and specifications.
• Prepare for, attend and lead site meetings with client, contractor, Hydro Ottawa, City of Ottawa.
• Administer the terms of the construction agreement between the client and the Contractor in a safe and responsible manner using sound judgment that represents the best interests of the client.
• Interpret the Contract Tender Documents and judge the Contractor’s performance of such, and ensure that the Contractors performance is in accordance with the Contract Documents;
• Ensure that all work on the contract proceeds according to plans and contract specification prior to approving work and progress payments;
• Identify and manage issues that have an impact on the project schedule, financial implications, or cause a negative impact to the public;
• Ensure that accurate records are established and maintained to substantiate payment, and resolve claims; and
• Assist in negotiating changes to the nature of the contracted work or any extra/additional work.
The work includes the following:
On-site works and off-site works, servicing works for a planned 6-block sub-division.
- On-site Works include the construction of two 20-meter wide public rights-of-way (John Holden Way and Famille Cote Avenue), installation of storm sewers, grading of blocks to stormwater management requirements, installation of utilities and base-level completion of two park blocks.
- Off-site Works include road modifications to the OC Transpo Park and Ride access road, a right-hand turn lane from Champlain Street and realignment of above-ground hydro infrastructure.

The plan of subdivision contains a total of 6 development blocks, 2 linear park blocks and 2 new streets. Famille-Côté Avenue will be accessed from Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and will connect to the OCTranspo Park and Ride access road. John Holden Way will be a short segment providing access from Champlain Street to the internal street Famille-Côté Avenue. A pedestrian network is provided with a multi-use pathway through the two linear park blocks and with a sidewalk along both sides of Famille-Côté Avenue.
