· As Road , Infrastructure & Airport Resident Engineer:
- Supervise Road & construction.
- Planning and monitoring work for Subordinate Engineers.
- Liaising with the Client's office.
- Implementing site quality assurance programmers for structural and civil works.
- Ensuring senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service / design decisions and the objectives of the Client are achieved.
- Ensuring all relevant staff are informed of Client matters.
- Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client’s best interests.
· Project Management, Construction Coordination, Road & Airport Design
· Good experience and Knowledge of Road & Airport design base on the international and local standards:
- AASHTO, American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
- MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) for signs, signals, and pavement markings in the United States.
- Annex 14, Aerodromes, ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).
- AC 150/5390-2B, FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) for Heliport design.
- UAE, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Roadway Design Manual – Roads and Bridges.
- UAE, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Standard Specifications, general requirements for road and bridge construction.
· Good knowledge of project planning using related software packages such as Microsoft Project & Primavera Project Planner (P3) to create project schedule.
· Good Knowledge and understanding of site supervision of building and large-scale infrastructure projects / External works (Including: Earth and asphalt works, excavation and fills for utilities, Hard and soft Landscape works). Manages the site supervision team (Resident Engineers, QA/QC engineers, site engineer, document controller, etc.) as Senior Civil Resident Engineer & Deputy Project Director. Being in charge for:
- Snagging/ De-snagging (Including all Buildings),
- Preparation of Punch list, all related reports
- Coordination of Testing & commissioning and
- Defect liability Period.
- Spot check all activities done by Contractor also Attending/Observing onsite tests (Density of Soil In-Place, Sampling Bituminous Paving Mixtures, etc)
As Airport Design Engineer:
Familiar with aviation facilities Design various types and mixes of rigid and flexible pavement for airfield applications runways, aprons and taxiways as well as the perimeter and landside roads Design production and detailing of base courses and surface coating plus associated culvert and drainage works Outline design and performance specifications of earthworks and soil stabilisation methods.
Preparation of detailed specification for various, various mix design (including concrete, asphalt, and aggregate base course)
Lead a team of engineers and draftsmen to produce design, tender and construction documentation for airfield pavement works
Produce reports on feasibility and progress of design Advice project managers on programme management aspects, related to design and construction, including duration estimating, activity sequencing and resource requirements
Attributes Thorough understanding and experience of the airports and aviation sector Credibility to work effectively and sensitively at senior levels
Proven track record in producing, coordinating and delivering technically sound design on time and within budget
A thorough understanding of the nature of technical and business services provided to the sector.
Posses a good working knowledge of the key drivers of airport design Demonstrate a good understanding the interactions between aviation and airport operations particularly airfield planning and its interface with pavement engineering design Posses
good management capability including team management and staff development
